All about vaccination with JoCo Public Health Dir. Mike Weber and Dr. Kathy Mechling!

This Tuesday, July 30, from 11am to noon, KXCJ-LP will host a live interview with JoCo Public Health Director Mike Weber, JoCo Medical Officer Dr. David Candelaria, and Dr. Kathy Mechling, where they will discuss the metrics and data surrounding vaccines, which concerns are based on science and fact vs. which are unsupported by data, or are social media-driven rumor, and they very much want to respond to *your* questions and comments!

Please e-mail your questions/comments to 'news@KXCJ.org' anytime, or you can call in during the interview (Tuesday, July 30, 11am - noon) to our studio line: 541-592-4112

A sudden and powerful loss

Dear Community,

Earlier this week, we lost an incredible friend, musician, activist, and DJ here at KXCJ.

With her straightforward eloquence, Scout certainly had something to say every Sunday evening as host of Folk The System!-- truth be told, she had something insightful, powerful and often, somehow at the same time, very funny to say at most any occasion!

This community, this radio station, and certainly this planet is richer, thanks to Scout's being here.

We will make sure her music lives on with all of us, and that we will always be able to listen to that beautifully fierce voice!

We will have an informal celebration of Scout's life and spirit on-air this Sunday, July 28th, from 8pm to midnight, featuring recordings from her many performances around our valley and beyond, mixed with live performances from other musicians who know and love Scout!

If you are a musician and/or friend of Scout and would like to participate in this celebration, live, this Sunday the 28th, please call Angela at 541-450-5336 or Michael at 541-415-6460.

We love you, Scout!
